Never seen a hacked site... Usually when the big ones get hacked they just go down for awhile. What did the hacker do to the site, what did the site look like once you got there? Wow. I have had mine hacked about three years ago. It totally took me off guard. I always take measures for that now. Your were lucky you are in a good habit of backing up everything you have.
