The Death Of JV Giveaways

Filed Under (JV Giveaways) by Mieke on 24-07-2008

Back in January, I expressed my fears concerning the fact that the JV giveaway concept was due to die from its own success in a blog post.

Today, I submitted a message to my list, with the links to 4(!) new JV Giveaways that have opened their doors. (You’ll find the links on my ‘New JV Giveaways‘ page.)

At the same time, I kept thinking: how on earth will I ever find the time to check out all the gifts inside?? The truth is… I probably won’t. :o(

Ok, many of those gifts I’ve seen a thousand times before, and most JV Giveaways I end up downloading one or two products, but if I don’t go and check out the list, who knows what I’ll miss.

I remember, less than two years ago I bumped into my first giveaway. It was a huge event, back then. Almost one of its kind. I loaded up my hard disk, signed up to become a contributor, and my ebiz was born! It’s thanks to that first giveaway that I’m here now, doing what I do. if it wasn’t for that event, I would probably have been out of Internet Marketing not long after I started.

All that just to say that I love JV Giveaways, and I support them fully. But I’m afraid the concept is dying from its own success.

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased the script myself, planning to run another event, some day. I’m still thinking about a concept, ‘cos I want to make it different somehow. In my opinion, that is the only way the idea might be able to survive…

As you probably know, my humble try to be different resulted in setting up The Niche Giveaway.

I must admit I almost forgot about the message;  the neverending stream of JV Giveaways has kept me very, very busy these last few months.

Until yesterday, I downloaded ‘The Death Of JV Giveaways‘ - a brand new report written by Brad Smith (Giveaway Manager 2). It appears Brad used my post as a starting point for an 83-page report about JV Giveaways, their success and the risks that come with it.

I still haven’t finished reading it, but already I have picked up some valuable tips I immediately applied to my biz. I have been in the giveaway niche for almost 3 years now, but Brad manages to point out a few things I had never thought about before.

I think every JV Giveaway Marketer should read this guide - and if you are planning to run your own JV giveaway event, you just can’t go without.
