The auction ended and the dolls were sold for €1220...
Could you believe people are willing to pay that much money for a set of dolls?

(I haven’t had time to take a look at the counters & stats - i’ll check them & evaluate later. Now I first want to enjoy the feeling of victory - lol)

Today, I received an invitation to join a new JV Giveaway event. Nothing special, since this happens several times a week, lately.

When I went to the sign up page, I noticed the header said ‘Support Our Troops’.
Now, the thing is… my personal opinion on this issue stops me from joining this event.

There’s the old marketing vs. ethics dilemma again… It seems to pop up every once in a while, making me feel a little uncomfortable.

I’m perfectly aware of the fact that ‘only the killers survive’, yet I can’t bring myself to take any action that is against my own principles. I guess that’ll be the reason why I’ll never become one of those top-sellers - but at least I can sleep at night ;o)

Because I think everyone should be able to make up his own mind, I did add the link to the JV Giveaways Directory. (Please note the link there is not my affiliate link, but the administrator’s.)

You already know the Internet is an excellent way for you to show others your creations. But did you know that zillions may be viewing your work while thinking someone else made it? That’s right…that’s because there are some unscrupulous people out there stealing your work and calling it their own; sometimes even making tons of cash…but never sharing the mony with you!

What would you do if you found out someone used your work without your permission? How could/would you even prove the work is yours?

A friend of mine was able to lay his hands on the very rare - complete - set of ABBA Dolls - created and distributed by Matchbox during the seventies. All dolls in this collection are still boxed and in mint condition, and as a bonus, 2 sets of clothes (even more in-demand) are included.

Having no internet selling experience at all, he asked us (me & my hubbie - he’s the eBay seller at our house) to sell them for him.

Quite a challenge, since these dolls are extremely hard to find and very in-demand among collectors. They should make a good price…

Time to put my marketing skills to the test :o)
